Actual Budget is the best free budgeting app. It is open source, uses the envelope method that YNAB made popular, and keeps your data on your own device or server instead of a company's. A plain spreadsheet budget in Google Sheets also works well. Mint shut down in 2024; its users were moved to Credit Karma.
