What is the best free app to design a logo or poster?
Canva is the best free design app for posters, social posts, thumbnails and simple logos. The free plan has thousands of templates and exports without a watermark, as long as you avoid items marked with a crown. Figma is better for app and website design, and Penpot is a free open source alternative to Figma.

Good to know
- Items with a crown icon in Canva are paid. Using one adds a watermark until you pay or swap it.
- "Free logo maker" sites often let you design for free and then charge to download. Check the download price first.
