What is the best pastebin for sharing text or code?

GitHub Gist is the best free way to share text or code. It is clean, has no ads, keeps a version history and supports secret links. PrivateBin encrypts text in your browser so even the server cannot read it, which suits sensitive notes. Pastebin.com works but is full of ads.
