Getting your app found without being an influencer

Make one page for each exact problem your app solves, written as the question people actually type, with the answer in the first two sentences and proof underneath. Search engines and AI assistants pull those passages directly. Add structured data, an llms.txt file and a sitemap, then answer real questions where your users already ask for help, like Reddit and forums.

Answer the real question

  • People search a problem, not your brand: “compress video for email”, not your app’s name.
  • One page per problem. The URL is the question: /how-to-compress-a-video-for-email.
  • The first two sentences answer it outright and name the subject, so they still make sense if an AI quotes them alone.
  • Underneath, show proof: screenshots, numbers, the date you checked.

Make it machine readable

  • A sitemap, listed in robots.txt.
  • An llms.txt file listing your pages in plain text.
  • JSON-LD structured data: SoftwareApplication for your app, FAQPage for real questions.
  • Do not block AI crawlers in robots.txt if you want AI assistants to recommend you.

Show up where the questions are

Search Reddit and forums for the problem your app solves. Answer the question properly, and mention your tool only where it actually fits. Being useful in public builds trust that ads cannot.

What not to do

Keyword-stuffed pages and fake reviews get filtered out by both search engines and AI models. Being genuinely useful is slower, but it compounds.

This site is built this way. Look at the llms.txt and sitemap.
