uBlock Origin
Our pickBlocks the most, uses the least memory, takes no money from advertisers.
What is the best free ad blocker?
uBlock Origin is the best free ad blocker. On Firefox it blocks ads, trackers and many scam popups with no setup, and it is open source with no "acceptable ads" deals. Chrome now only allows the lighter uBlock Origin Lite, which still blocks most ads. Brave browser has strong blocking built in. On iPhone, AdGuard for Safari is free.

Good to know
- Ad blockers also stop most fake "Download" buttons and scareware popups, which makes them a safety tool, not only a comfort.
- Only install uBlock Origin from your browser's official add-on store. Copycats exist.
